A key member of Brussels’ Bepotel collective/label &apos’s music veers between abstract, experimental compositions and more beat driven tracks, all held together by a defined aesthetic that welcomes and indeed makes a virtue of sonic impurities and random patterns thrown up by algorithmic computations.
Building upon his time studying Sonology at The Hague’s Royal Conservatory, &apos’s sample based, and often improvised, music is as likely to reference the work of artists exploring the realm of abstract electronics like Helena Gough and Oval as it is contemporary electronic producers such as Actress, Madteo and Terrence Dixon. To expand the musical world of his first solo release ‘Lichtdrank EP’ on bepotel records, &apos developed an accompanying 3D environment, much like a multiplayer video game, which can be explored online at www.suchhacks.com.
